DetailsA couple of times this afternoon my Elf ranger/mage's allied animals have created what appears to be an infinite loop in combination with AutoHide, I think by displacing me into an area which exposes me, me autohiding, then being displaced, then autohiding, and so on - the message window just gets continuously filled with "The <foo> displaces you. You are exposed! AutoHide: You slip into the shadows. The <foo> displaces you. You are exposed!" and so on. This has happened with a horse which was created by Mount and with an Animal Companion.
Time continues to elapse while this is happening, so I've been getting round it by waiting for an AutoSave to happen, then forcibly terminating the application and starting it again, whereupon the loop is broken. I've attached an autosave which was generated during such a loop (occuring as my Smilodon and I rounded the corner to the northwest of the (still populated) vault) - I'm not sure the exact circumstances are reproducible reliably though, but it *should* be possible to get it to happen by moving round that corner. EDIT: Tried reloading the game. Should be able to reproduce this by stepping east, then resting twice. |
