In the current release (0.6.4B) all of my characters (3 so far) have had issues with the Map mode /'r'un to point/ not working most of the time, currently it mainly goes 'There's no clear, safe and explored route to that area.' even if there definitely is! The only times it will work are -
a) within the same region (and then not every time)
b) within a few steps if it crosses regions (6-10 max generally, but sometimes almost from one side of a region to the other side of the next)
The odd thing I have noticed is that if you try successively smaller distances without going out of map mode, it will keep saying there is not safe route even for distances that do work if you leave the map display and re-enter it! (NOTE: even in this case it will always work if you choose an adjacent square. ) Other than this is seems to be consistent for a particular journey.

This is very annoying since this feature is almost essential for playing Incursion (without wanting to just stop) later on in the game, and not a trivial issue before that!.

If this for some reason does not duplicate for you see the save attached to FS#1045 since this character suffers from the problem.

I have encountered a weird situation with pathfinding for my Kobold Monk that looks like it is related. When he tries to 'Run to Point' 2 squares west instead of moving those two squares he will move up, across and then down (~12 N, NW, SW, ~12 S) instead.
This does not seem to be completely consistent since sometimes he will just move 2 west (either truly random or set randomly when he moves to the original square?). If it does not happen the 1st time just move 2 west again and repeat a few (4-5) times.

The go to point thing doesn't work very well for me either.

Since it was requested, here's a 0.6.9A save. Attempting to run to the up stairs, or any room, will give the message.
