I had been trying over and over again to get a super-cleaving warrior win, but was not having success. They usually died because of problems related to heavy armor (getting stuck, drowning caused by magically created water), trap-related deaths, or shatter-related deaths. The main problem seems to be closing the gap between them and their enemies before losing all your equipment or something like that. Anyway, I decided to try a monk. Since unarmed does not work with cleave, I decided to go with an armed, cleaving monk. I figured this would give me stealth so I could get close to things and some power- hitting ability. I also planned on making it a tattoo mystic so I could get the Sun tattoo which does bonus damage to undead. Once I actually got my second tattoo mystic level and was reading the tattoo descriptions I realized (remembered) that the Sun tattoo only works with unarmed attacks. Doh! So I took the butterfly ability, which didn't work at all (bug logged). oh well. If I had known all that before, I might have gone for something else (like Sentinal) for Infravision. The game went fairly smoothly. This game was played without save-and- restore except for when I accidentally destroyed some items and angered Xavias perhaps three times. This was not because I couldn't handle the anger or because I needed the items, but because of the bug with god anger where if they become too angered, when you appease them they completely dump you. Other than the bugs logged, there were two fatal game crashes that were not repeatable. It is hard to say if they were caused by something on-screen or off. All things considered, those crashes were not as big of an issue as some of the bugs I had to work around (like magical robes being buggy, god anger problems, and a few abilities not working). If it crashes, I have a auto-backup that I can go to. The other bugs are more gameplay related. I had to escape using Dim Door about 4 or 5 times to heal up and mend damaged equipment before I finally killed them all. I obviously had lots of healing potions, so it was not a HUGE concern, but I was far from invincible. When they did hit me, I took full damage, and it was always a critical threat. I also took a lot of damage from magical attacks. Without the 30% magic res cloak I would have probably had a much harder time. I resisted a lot of stuff.
